NEW UPDATE: I didn't like how the Godot project turned out, partly because I'm new with the software, partly because there are unique limitations in Godot I haven't found a work-around for as of yet. Because of this, I've decided to try reworking the tool using Twine instead. I realize Plato would consider this seven times removed from the divine, but I feel more confident in the result.

OLD DESCRIPTION:

Thought I would share this proof-of-concept I made over the weekend using Godot in about six hours. It's a very simple way to make choose-your-own-adventure games a la Twine.

Twine was my gateway to game creation, and I've always wanted a simplified version of it I could use on my phone. Nothing I found on the app store was sufficient—it's all either, "play this already-made adventure", "make the game on desktop and play it on your phone", or "make a bot on this generative-AI app". I decided to try my hand at making something to "scratch the itch" using Godot.

This is the first phone app I've ever made, not to mention I'm still new to Godot, so the experience can be expected to be buggy.

You'll probably be hit with "this app is suspicious" stuff, but a scan should show it's fine. Even if there's no option to scan, the alerts are false-positives.
